Get your drink on at Montreal's first ever Cocktailfest next month

Jun 5 2018, 1:16 am

It was only a matter of time.

We already have a beer festival and poutine festival. How has it taken us this long to get a cocktail festival?

Regardless, Montreal’s inaugural Cocktailfest is taking place on July 8 and things are going to get boozy.

Twenty of Montreal’s premier bars will mix up 40 different cocktails, all under one roof at the gorgeous St-James theatre.

Drink enthusiasts will have an opportunity to savour the best cocktails the city has to offer as participating bars will each serve two signature creations to guests.

The list of bars and restaurants who are partaking in the festival is quite impressive:

Montreal Cocktailfest will also offer a variety of restaurant stations to keep your stomach full. Tacos Victors will be serving tacos and Les Enfants Terribles will be offering hors d’oeuvres. There will also be a variety of DJs to keep your toes tappin’ while drinking. Don’t miss DJ Greenewood, David A, and 99 Wolves.

The festival will work in the form of electronic coupons. Ticket holders will be granted access to these through the Montreal Cocktail app which will launch prior to the event.

Each cocktail and food item will be worth between 1 and 5 digital coupons.

As Montreal CocktailFest founder, Juan Cabrera explains:

“Montreal CocktailFest aims to facilitate the discovery of cocktails in all of its forms to cocktail-lovers throughout the city. It also allows Montreal’s premier bars to showcase and celebrate their very best creations, in a socially responsible environment, all under one roof!”

Select bars will be offering non-alcohlic cocktails to ensure everyone can enjoy their time at the festival.
