Okay, we got Monday and Tuesday out of the way, now let’s shift our focus to Wednesday and get past this week’s midpoint.

To get there, we’ve put together an awesome list of things to check out in Montreal today, November 21. Just because it’s not the weekend doesn’t mean we can’t have fun, Montreal!

Chocolate Party

There’s a tasty chocolate party happening in the West Island today and it’s exactly what it sounds like.

DHNUS is hosting its annual Chocolate Party, a time to unwind from the post-midterm blues and sip some Bailey’s hot chocolate while devouring all the sweets your heart desires.

Admission grants you all access to the chocolate buffet, a shot of Baileys or Kahlua in a hot chocolate and non-chocolate items like grilled cheese, salads and gourmet hot dogs.

Guests are urged to come dressed in their comfiest clothes because nothing goes better with chocolate than comfort.

Reggie’s Laughs: Wassim El-Mounzer

Checking out free stand-up comedy is one thing, but checking out a talented local line-up for free is even better.

Head over to Concordia University’s student bar (even if you’re not a student) to catch the immensely talented headliner, Wassim El-Mounzer, fresh off the Edinburgh Fringe festival and Off-JFL.

Featured acts include Harrison Weinreb, Cathy Boyd and Adam Susser.

Victorian Christmas at the Cartier’s

Discover how fashion styles dating back to 1867 are still in vogue 150 years later. The exhibition showcases elegant Victorian decor and styles, hot drinks by the fireplace, a Christmas card workshop, and champagne.

McKibbin’s Irish Pub Hooley Night

McKibbin’s Irish Pub hosts their “Hooley Night” tonight on their third-floor dance club. Ladies pay $10 at the door, gentlemen pay $25 and then it’s an open bar, all you can drink. That includes Moosehead beer, vodka, gin, rum, rye and whiskey as part of the special. There’s a dance floor, DJ and a whole lot of people who already want to get the holidays started

Double Feature Photography Exhibition

In celebration of the new photography exhibition hall, Maison Photo MontrĂ©al, at GesĂč in the Quartier des Spectacles, a double photo exhibition will be happening tonight.

“Le Photo Rapporteur” by MikaĂ«l Theimer will focus on the city of Montreal while “Portrait de Photographe” will focus on portraits of Montrealers.

That’s a lot of photos and a lot of Montreal. Plus, there’s a bar on site.
