We’ve been graced with nice weather to start the week and we might have to deal with some showers today before enjoying a few scorching days to end the week.

Get ready to have some fun because there is a lot of music and food happening in Montreal today!

Paul Simon at the Bell Centre

The famous American singer-songwriter is at the Bell Centre tonight as he embarks on his Homeward Bound tour. Simon will be playing a bunch of his classic hits as well as songs from his Stranger to Stranger album which was released in 2016.

Ticket prices are pretty hefty and there’s still some left online.

When: June 13

FrancoFolies

If Paul Simon is too much for your wallet, give FrancoFolies de Montreal a go.

FrancoFolies is the world’s largest French-speaking music festival. This month’s edition will be their 30th and will host 50 concerts at seven different venues across the city. You can expect to hear a variety of genres including hip-hop, rock, folk, and electro. The majority of these outdoor shows are also free.

As the first week continues to chug along, tonight’s performances include Marjo, Camille, Feu! Chatterton, Corridor, Jesuslesfilles, Gaël Faye, Le Reptile Rampant, Les Tireux d’Roches, and more!

Montreal’s Mural Festival

Montreal’s hippest graffiti festival is on its last week!

Montreal’s Mural Festival is a massive sidewalk event that closes down the ever popular Boulevard Saint Laurent and hosts dozens of graffiti artists from around the world to paint the facades of the street’s buildings. The festival features food trucks, restaurant terraces, and shop outlets throughout the street. Go check out what some of these amazing artists can accomplish using the walls of buildings as their canvases.

When: Now until June 17
Time: 10 am – 7 pm
Where: Boulevard Saint Laurent between Sherbrooke and Mont Royal

Grill Saint Laurent

Grill Saint Laurent coincides with Mural Fest, you’re getting two for the price of … none.

Nine different restaurants from Boulevard Saint Laurent will set up food outlets on the Mural Fest grounds, each offering a signature dish. Restaurants include La Toshka, L’Gros Luxe, Mckibbin’s Irish Pub, Big in Japan, The Main Deli Steak House, Agrikol, and more!

A perfect spot to grab a quick bite and to take in the beauty of Mural Fest.

When: June 13 and June 14

Price: $6 per food voucher/$20 for 4

Street Paella

Montreal-based chef Luis “Tigretón” Leon, of Libreria Española, is hosting a paella street-side option today in conjunction with Mural Fest. The restaurant tent offers mussels, shrimp, chicken, pork, and his signature black rice.

Between Mural Fest, Grill Saint Laurent and Street Paella, you can stock up on some spectacular sights and enough food to last the rest of the week.
