It’s half as cold as it was in Montreal last Tuesday, but that still means it’s 20°C, much more comfortable September conditions. With that said, we have 5 things happening in the city today, September 11, to get you trekking towards mid-week.

Le Ethnic Show

Aba and Preach, two comics from Montreal, host their 23 edition of Le Ethnic Show, a comedy show featuring a slew of hilarious, local comedians.

In their last show before a break to pursue other projects, Aba and Preach will produce a live podcast before the comedians get on stage, it’s essentially two hilarious shows in one.

World Press Photo Exhibition

The 13th annual World Press Photo Exhibition in Montreal showcases some of the most prestigious photographs from around the world. This year, 73,500 photos from 125 different countries will headline the exhibition.

Gardens of Light

The Gardens of Light Festival is finally upon us.

The lantern festival includes a lighted path through the Botanical Garden’s three cultural gardens, The Chinese, Japanese and First Nations Gardens, all looking at nature from a different perspective.

Enjoy a comfortable September night with some gorgeous views.

Pizza Fest

Grab a slice of everyone’s favourite comfort food as 50 participating restaurants in Montreal will create their own, unique pizza.

At the end of the 13-day festival, one place will be crowned the tasty winner of Montreal’s Pizza Fest.

Honey Martin Trivia

Honey Martin is a cozy Irish Pub in NDG that hosts arguably the busiest pub trivia in town. They do six rounds of ten questions. A winner is rewarded each round with either a round of drinks or a round of shots. A round for a round – solid deal.

The questions are all general knowledge and the trivia host is interactive and funny. Buy him a shot and he’ll go easy on you.

You might need all the help you can get, there’s usually a bunch of teams.
