As Monday rears its ugly head, we start the workweek trek.

The Montreal Canadiens vs the Washington Capitals

With the NHL season in full swing, head to the Bell Centre and enjoy a fast, young and fun-to-watch Canadiens team take on the defending champions Washington Capitals.

Victorian Christmas at the Cartier’s

Discover how fashion styles dating back to 1867 are still in vogue 150 years later. The exhibition showcases elegant Victorian decor and styles, hot drinks by the fireplace, a Christmas card workshop, and champagne.

The MTL Grand Open Semi-Finals

Round one of the MTL Grand Open’s two-month-long contest is underway tonight.

Over 100 comedians have been vying for 1G and bragging rights of being the champion. The first round of the semis features host Troy Stark, headliner Shirley Whalen and nine comedians trying to move onto the finals: Dawn Ford, Oren Shbiro, John Cotroc, Rena Taylor, Martin Gallois, Darren Henwood, JS Mercier, Aliya Kanani and Lorenzo Patino.

The top three comedians move on, one as voted by the audience and two by special guest judges. It’s destined to be a GRAND time.

Salon du livre de Montréal

The Salon du livre is a chance to meet your favourite local authors, discover new ones, and attend literary events, round-table discussions, debates and public readings.
