A giant Christmas festival is taking place in Old Montreal this December

Montreal is about to get a little merrier in December.

Merry Montreal is taking over the city from December 21 to 31.

Old Montreal will light up with holiday festivities that are perfect for the whole family.

Events include:

Nordic Square – December 21–24 and 28–31 (Place Jacques-Cartier)

The Nordic Square will feature interactive installations and a festive tasting bar where you can sample local products. There will also be a holiday photo booth, a larger participative mural and plenty of performances!

Music on the Docks Music on the Docks December 29–30 from 6 pm to 10 pm (Quai Jacques-Cartier)

Head down to Quai Jacques-Cartier for a Christmas dance party. Local artists will take to the main stage and play holiday favourites. If you need a break, head to the winter beer garden and sip on mulled wine or other bubbly treats.

New Year’s Eve Party December 31 from 6 pm to 2 am (Quai Jacques-Cartier and Place Jacques-Cartier)

Ring in the New Year with a night filled with amazing entertainment, fireworks, food and more. A mesmerizing lightshow will take place on the Pont Jacques-Cartier and of course, there will be fireworks!

Get ready for an amazing week of holiday festivities!
