Environment Canada issues extreme cold warning for Montreal

An extreme cold warning has been issued for Montreal.

“A cool arctic air mass combined with brisk winds will cause wind chill values from minus 38 in Southern Quebec to minus 49 over more northwestern portions of the province,” said Environment Canada in a statement.

The warning is in effect for:

  • Châteauguay – La Prairie area
  • Laval area
  • Longueuil – Varennes area
  • Montréal Island area

This weekend’s temperatures are expected to feel like -31℃ with the wind chill. Snow is also in the forecast all weekend long.
