Double-decker train added to Deux-Montagnes RTM line to speed up service

Jan 22 2018, 11:01 pm

Commuters on the Deux-Montagnes line will be seeing double-decker train cars for the first time this week.

The Réseau de transport métropolitain (RTM), announced it is adding one train with 10 double-decker cars to the line in order to improve service.

Single level trains will be upgraded and undergo repairs to handle the cold weather conditions.

According to RTM, the double-decker train will make six departures per day. The train will run on the line temporarily until the repairs are completed.

Th RTM has received backlash over the last few weeks due to reoccurring delays on multiple lines. However, RTM  claims the delays have been due to poor weather conditions.
