There's weekly 'Dance in the Dark' party happening in Montreal this spring

Mar 28 2018, 4:30 am

If you love to dance but don’t like people watching, this is the dance party for you.

Danser Dans l’Noir is hosting weekly dance parties that take place in pitch back so you can let loose and let the music take control.

This party is nothing like a club environment. It’s an event without any drugs or alcohol and it’s not about chatting up other dancers and asking them for their number.

Instead, this event is meant to encourage people to express themselves through dance.

“Too many times we do not dance out of fear. Or we dance to please others, and not ourselves. Wouldn’t it be nice to discover what we like to do, what is new and impressive, or familiar and basic, in our own bodies?” says Danser Dans l’Noir, on their event page.

“Turn off the lights! Everything changes! Nobody watches you, and perhaps in this moment you find it is beautiful, to you, to bounce like a happy baby.”

So bring your best moves and dance like nobody is watching (because no one will be).
