With the sun coming back out for the weekend and Cinco de Mayo quickly upon us, it’s time for celebration!
Just in case you forgot or were in need of a friendly reminder, Cinco de Mayo will actually fall on a weekend this year – Saturday, May 5.
It’s a sure sign that the entire city will be ready to flood the streets of Montreal to soak in some sunshine and partake in the festivities.

3 Amigos
While 3 Amigos might land as a more mainstream choice in Montreal’s Mexican dining scene, they’ll still be bringing a celebration to their restaurant. On Saturday at their St. Catherine location only, they’ll have mariachis, a live DJ, a burrito eating contest, as well as specialty cocktails and shooters.

Wellington Ash
Wellington Ash might just have this year’s most… creative ad for their Cinco de Mayo celebration this year. Among celebrating Justin’s birthday, they’ll be bringing tacos, tequila, and a pinata to a party that runs from 5 pm to 3 am the next day.

Don B Comber
While the tropical bar may not be your typical go-to for authentic Mexican cuisine, with $1 tacos, you can at least consider them for an afterparty. You can expect specials on tequila and Corona, as well as a live Mariachi band. There will be prizes and giveaways throughout the night and the first few arrivals will receive maracas and sombreros.

Ta Chido Mexican Snack Bar
Ta Chido boasts some of Montreal’s best in Mexican snacks and finger food. The family-owned eatery will be celebrating with $6 margaritas and the music of DJ Gajo.
