Cue the cat videos.

A new content sharing app from Youtube is now available in Canada – the first (and so far only) country where you can use it.

Starting today, when opening the YouTube mobile app, signed-in users with a channel will see a brand new Shared tab. Tap the tab and you’ll be able to add your friends and family as contacts, so you can share with them.

“A few months ago, we began experimenting with better ways to share on YouTube, starting with a small group of users,” Youtube said in a release.

And now Canadians have a chance to try it out.

“Not only can you share and receive videos in the app, you can also chat about them right on YouTube, reply with another video, invite others to the conversation, and more,” Youtube said. “We think it’ll make sharing easier, faster, and more fun on your phone.”

Why pick Canada as the first country for the app?

“Canadians are world leaders when it comes to sharing,” Youtube said. “On our mobile devices, Canadians share videos 15% more often than other global users.”
