If you’re looking for a winter adventure road trip less than two hours away from Montreal, the breathtaking Ausable Chasm is the place to go.

This ice canyon is located in Keeseville, New York, and is known as the ‘Grand Canyon of the Adirondacks.’

The canyon is a giant sandstone gorge that formed nearly 15,000 years ago during the last Ice Age. The canyon is open all year long but during winter it’s truly a site to see.
