A stunning new exhibit has just opened at the Montreal Botanical Garden.

Titled Monumental Dougherty, this artistic yet natural exhibit showcases an array of intricate sculptures made out of willow branches.

Famous land artist, Patrick Dougherty, is the one behind this magnificent exhibit. According to the official description, “His sculptures woven from willow branches will be true odes to nature, treating visitors to a poetic adventure and paying tribute to these trees in artistic and creative fashion.”

In addition to the sculptures, Dougherty himself will be visiting the Montreal Botanical Garden throughout the summer, creating two pieces live in front of an audience.

He will even create one piece to be worked on collaboratively by future visitors. So far, he is scheduled to be on-site from 9am to 5pm until June 23rd and between July 3rd and July 21st.

Be sure to visit this one-of-a-kind exhibit before Labour Day weekend comes around!

Until then, check out 13 photos of the Montreal Botanical Garden’s latest outdoor exhibition, Monumental Dougherty.
