Toronto’s Bloor-Yorkville will be transformed into a winter wonderland this November, as the neighbourhood will be kicking off the season with its annual Holiday Magic celebration.

You can get into holiday spirit starting November 17, as you check out the lighting of the village’s Christmas tree, the vibrant display of lights and enjoy a free performance from Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Hook.

If you haven’t checked it out before, Holiday Magic is a family-friendly community celebration that will feature an impressive live performance from Hook and the annual “Flick the Switch” lighting ceremony.

The highly anticipated event will illuminate the neighbourhood for the holiday season from November 17 to December 31, creating a unique destination for patrons of the neighbourhood to shop, dine and take in the area’s art and culture while surrounded by festive lighting.

In addition to the tree lighting ceremony, visitors can look forward to holiday programming and events in Bloor-Yorkville throughout the season, including strolling carolers on Fridays and Saturdays in December and the 11th annual Santa Speedo Run on December 15.

If you’re doing some holiday shopping in the area, make sure to check out the holiday window displays and the festive decor along with the tree-lined streets.
