Every road closure in Toronto this weekend: June 22 to 24

It’s another busy weekend in Toronto!

Not only are there Pride events happening throughout the city, there’s also arts and music festivals on the agenda.

With all this action comes with plenty of road closures, so make sure to plan ahead.

Weekend event road closures:

Pride Week

The Community Street Festival takes place Friday, June 22 to Monday, June 25  and will fully close down Church Street from Dundas Street East to Bloor Street East from 10 am on Friday to 6 am on Monday.

Downtown Jazz Festival

Cumberland Street from Bellair Street to Old York Lane will be closed from Friday, June 22 at 4 pm to Sunday, June 24 at 11:59 pm. Yorkville Avenue from Bellair Street to Hazelton Avenue will be closed from Friday, June 22 at 12:01 am. to Sunday, June 24 at 6 am.

Trans Pride March

Taking place on Friday, June 22, the Trans Pride March will start at the intersection of Church and Hayden Streets, proceeding north to Bloor Street East, then proceeding west on Bloor Street East, south on Yonge Street and east on Carlton Street to Allan Gardens. Roads along the route will be closed from 7 pm to 9:30 pm.

Pride and Remembrance Run

On Saturday, June 23, Wellesley Street East between Jarvis Street and Queen’s Park Crescent East, and Queen’s Park Crescent West between College Street and Bloor Street West, will be closed from 8:30 am to noon for the run.

Junction BIA – Summer Solstice

Dundas Street West will be closed from High Park Avenue to Indian Grove (Keele Street will remain open) from Saturday, June 23 at 4 am to Sunday, June 24 at 7 am for the Junction’s Summer Solstice festival.

Dyke March

The Dyke March takes place on Saturday, June 23 and will start at the intersection of Church and Hayden Streets, proceeding north to Bloor Street East, then proceeding west on Bloor Street East, south on Yonge Street and east on Carlton Street to Allan Gardens. Roads affected will be closed from noon to 6 pm.

Rotary International

Bremner Boulevard from York Street to the Air Canada Centre will be closed from Saturday, June 23 to Wednesday, June 27 from 8 am to 8 pm daily.

Fairbank Village BIA – Flavours of Fairbank

Eglinton Avenue West from Ronald Avenue to Dufferin Street will be closed from Saturday, June 23 at 2 am to Monday, June 25 at 5 am.

Pride Parade

The 38th annual Toronto Pride Parade takes place Sunday, June 24, and Rosedale Valley Road from Park Road to Bayview Avenue will be closed from 8 am to 7 pm.

The parade will start at Church Street and Bloor Street East, proceed west on Bloor Street East, south on Yonge Street and east on Dundas Street East to Victoria Street.

A number of roads in the area will be closed for periods between noon and 7 pm, with the parade itself taking place from 2 pm to 7 pm.

Luminato Festival

The southbound curb lane of Victoria Street will be closed from Shuter Street to Queen Street East from Sunday, June 24 at 10 am to Monday, June 25 at 10 am.

Kensington Market Pedestrian Sundays

Parts of Kensington Avenue, Augusta Avenue and Baldwin Street will be closed on Sunday, June 24 from noon to 10:30 pm for Pedestrian Sundays.

Hockey Hall of Fame Gala

The Carlton Street westbound curb lane from Church Street to the underground garage entrance at Mattamy Centre will be closed on Monday, June 25 from 5 pm to 11:30 pm.

Curb lane closures for bus loading and unloading from Saturday, June 23 to Wednesday, June 27 from 6 am to 8:30 pm daily:

  • Bay Street southbound curb lane from the rail bridge to Lake Shore Boulevard West
  • Bremner Boulevard north and southbound curb lanes from York Street to Rees Street
  • Blue Jays Way southbound curb lane from the Marriott Hotel to Front Street West
  • Front Street West eastbound curb lane from Blue Jays Way to Lower Simcoe Street
  • Albert Street north side curb lane from Bay Street to James Street.
