Emerald Plants Health Source (EPHS), the owners of the over one million-sq-ft cannabis growing facility being built in Merritt, BC, has revealed their selection for president.

Already a founder and partner with the subsidiary, Stevan Perry will be assuming the role of president of EPHS. Perry is a senior executive and business development leader with over 20 years of corporate, operational, and project management experience.

He was selected due to his experience specializing in the business development of major projects, scaled energy solutions, and corporate development for “energy intensive start-ups,” and cannabis companies.

Before coming to MVC, Perry was Vice President of Energy and Major Projects for The Green Organic Dutchman (TGOD). Prior to his appointment to TGOD, he was the Energy Solution Team Leader for the Eaton Corporation.

“I am excited to be joining the EPHS team during this pivotal time within the cannabis industry,” said Perry, in a press release. “Just three weeks after legalization there is an incredible opportunity to further and develop the EPHS brand and business plan. Our vision is to be different, the EPHS business model is built on simplicity and focus.

“It is our objective to build with efficiency and to deliver cannabis to the under-supplied Canadian and global markets.”

Citing a recent Bank of Montreal report, Perry is optimistic about the ability of his company to tap into the projected $194 billion cannabis market within the next seven years.

“I am honoured to appoint Stevan Perry as our President,” said Gianfranco Bentivoglio, CEO of EPHS. “Having Mr. Perry, on board provides the proven experience with the cannabis industry vital to scaling supply to serve the high demand market.

“This is a great time for the company and for the Company’s shareholders.”

Emerald Plants Heath Source (EPHS), together with Merritt Valley Cannabis, received a license for cannabis production under the laws of Health Canada in October.

Directors and owners of Daily Hive own shares of EPHS Holdings.
