Granville Island will be receiving a very welcome dosage of jazz and funk, thanks to the 33rd annual TD Vancouver International Jazz Fest.

For this year’s festival, in addition to free daily performances at the Granville Public Market Stage and a daily afternoon series held at Performance Works, the International Jazz Fest will be taking over Granville Island to celebrate Canada Day in style.

On Sunday, July 1, Granville Island and the Festival will be hosting free performances across four different stages from noon to 11 pm.

Spectators can pass by Performances Works on Granville Island, the Railspur District stage, the Public Market Stage, and the outdoor Ron Basford Park Stage for free concerts, all day long.

Of the 14 confirmed bands, highlighted performers for the day-long concert include Black Gardenia featuring Daphne Roubini, Erica Dee, Basilissa, Moondle, Saguaro, the Robin Layne Band, and Adam Robert Thomas, among others.

The free Canada Day performances for the TD International Jazz Festival take place on Sunday, July 1 from 12 to 11 pm.
