Citing the field’s need for “major rehabilitation” after Friday’s 420 event, the Vancouver Park Board (VPB) has announced that the field at Sunset Beach will be closed for up to 10 weeks for repair work.
VPB staff were out on Saturday morning cleaning up the area and cautioning potential park-goers that there was still “event debris” on the field.
The board said that fencing is set to be put in place today to give the vegetation a chance to rehabilitate.
