Inaugural Red Bull Music Festival announces its Toronto lineup

While summer may be over soon, festival season continues, as Red Bull brings its inaugural Music Festival next month.

This October, Red Bull Music Festival will take over several venues in Toronto for a week of shows throughout the city.

Wednesday, October 17: Alice Glass at The Fermenting Cellar

The Canadian electro-pop provocateur teams up with visionary director Floria Sigismondi to transform a 19th-century fermenting cellar. As a solo artist and founding frontwoman of Toronto synth-punks Crystal Castles, Alice Glass is an electrifying and visceral performer, able to mesmerizingly command any stage she steps foot on.

Thursday, October 18: Round Robin, A night of improvised duets at The Great Hall

Angus Tarnawsky, Casey MQ, Sarah Thawer, Sekou, Maylee Todd, Skratch Bastid, Cindy Lee, Tika, Tanya Tagaq, Kaan, Matthew Progress, Melody McKiver, Gurpreet Chana and more. This is a Red Bull Music flagship event series that has been held in cities including Montreal, Chicago, and Zurich, Round Robin comes to Toronto for a night of live improvisation.

Friday, October 19: DVSN with members of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra at Roy Thomson Hall

The OVO R&B duo reinterprets their songbook alongside members of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra live at the legendary Roy Thomson Hall.

Saturday, October 20: Pump the Beat Live at Design Exchange

A night of all-star competition at the Design Exchange. To celebrate Canada’s fertile ballroom scene, Red Bull Music Festival Toronto is taking over the Design Exchange (home of the original Toronto Stock Exchange), and inviting an all-star lineup of dancers, judges, singers, rappers, and DJs.

Monday, October 22: A conversation with Scott Storch at Glenn Gould Studio

An in-depth conversation with the Grammy-winning producer, songwriter, and keyboardist.

Thursday, October 25: Collision at Ossington Tire

Meet the new generation of MCs putting on for their city. Featuring Lil Berete, Yasmine, The Sorority, Ebhoni, and Philla B.
