An incredible harvest moon is set to rise over Vancouver on Monday

Get your cameras ready, there’s going to be a spectacular harvest moon rising over Vancouver on Monday, September 24.

Monday evening when the sun sets, Vancouver skies will be lit up with an incredibly bright orange harvest moon, that will illuminate the sky and give everyone who’s watching a free outdoor show.

As a symbol of the changing seasons, the celestial phenomenon features a much lower-hanging moon on the horizon, which makes it easier for us to view (if there are clear skies, of course).

If you happen to miss this evening’s spectacle, you’re in luck as the next full moons in October, November, and December will all be supermoons, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to catch a glimpse of one of these beauties.

For optimal viewing, find a park or another spot outside the city limits in order to have enough darkness and be prepared to be amazed.
