Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for Montreal and surrounding regions as heavy winds are expected today and well into tomorrow night.
According to Environment Canada, “an intense cold front tracking over Southwestern Quebec will generate winds exceeding 90 km/h.”
The wind warning is in effect for the entire Montreal Island area.
Environment Canada warns that loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. So if you’re planning on heading outside later today be cautious.
Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
