There's a chimney dog eating contest happening in Calgary next month

Jun 21 2018, 5:45 am

This might be the first time you ever hear of a chimney dog eating contest happening in YYC, but people seem to be excited about the July 4 event so it probably won’t be the last.

The goal is simple, registered participants will attempt to eat as many chimney dogs as they can in a five-minute time frame at UTCA, and theĀ winner will get some serious prizes.

The victor of this challenge will walk away with a $100 cash prize and FREEĀ chimney dogs for a year (one chimney dog per week for 52 weeks).

Water will be provided and there will also be a vegan dog option available, so really, you have no reason not to test your chomping skills at this one.

UTCA has alreadyĀ confirmed the registration of a Pro-Competitive Eater from BC, so you best be ready to bring your A-game comeĀ eating time.
