Calgary’s third annual YYC Pizza Week is taking place around town from September 23 to October 2.

This year, over 50 restaurants are battling it out in four different categories during the week long event. Contestants may only enter in one of the categories but can offer a gluten free option in that category as well. Pizza’s include: Midtown Kitchen’s Smoked Bovine, Yellow Box Gourmet Pizza’s The Meateorite, Posto Pizzeria and Bar’s Duck Pizza, Full Circle Pizza and Oyster Bar’s Fritto Misto Pizza, and many more! An online map of participating venues is available online.

YYC Pizza Week Categories

  • Thin – must be a thin crust pizza or flatbread
  • Thick – thick crust pizza or flatbread
  • Gluten Free – your entry must be entirely gluten free
  • Unique – this can be any kind of pizza related entry ie: pizza muffins, waffles, pizza soup, pizza desert, beverages, etc.

YYC Pizza Week will once again be raising funds for ‘Calgary Meals on Wheels’ and will be adding ‘100 Men Calgary’ as their second charity. You can find out more about what each charity does in Calgary by visiting the YYC Pizza Week charities page online.

2016 voting instructions will be released soon online.
