Granary Road Public Market

This market opened last spring and offers an experience for the whole family (including a full Active Learning Park with a petting zoo and an orchard tree house but for kids only). Offering produce (some of which is grown in Granary Road’s own greenhouse), mouth-watering meats, a selection of cheeses along with gardening and home decor goods you’ll find everything you need. Oh, and they have mini-donuts you can get year-round.

Hillhurst Sunnyside Farmers’ Market

There is no shortage of locally grown, healthy, and downright flavourful produce and food options at this market.

Day/time: Wednesdays from 3 to 7 pm
Season: Indoor market open year-round; Outdoor market open from May 17 to October 4

This year Crossroads celebrated its 30th year of providing Calgarians with fresh produce, meat, cheese, plenty of crusty breads, and handcrafted gifts by local talent. Whether you’re going to buy fresh ingredients or an artisanal gift for a friend, come hungry and make sure you don’t leave without having a taste of pie from Simple Simon Pies.

Market on Macleod

Open year-round, you can enjoy fresh produce from vendors like Broxburn Vegetables along with baked goods, artisan foods, a selection of meat and fish, and (for those days you don’t want to step into your kitchen) meals-to-go. On top of all the deliciousness available there is a variety of home, fashion, and health and beauty products.

Calgary Farmers’ Market


This is a bustling marketplace where you can grab anything from Janice Beaton’s fine cheeses to decadent cakes from Yum Bakery  to tacos for lunch.
