The Tragically Hip’s final tour following lead singer Gordon Downie’s terminal brain cancer diagnosis is all but over.

The beloved Canadian band will finish their Man Machine Poem tour with a final farewell performance in Kingston, Ontario on August 20.

Tickets are of course, all sold out. But for a band that has already gone down in the history books, Canada is going above and beyond.

Here are 13 places you can watch The Tragically Hip’s final farewell in Calgary:

The Canadian Brewhouse

  • What: The Tragically Hip’s final show will be broadcast live on all 50 of the big screen TVs at The Canadian Brewhouse. Seating is first come, first served.

Cineplex Odeon Eau Claire Market Cinemas

  • What: CBC and The Tragically Hip are presenting The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration at various Cineplex theatres too. Volunteers from the Canadian Cancer Society will be on site in support of this celebration.

Ed’s Restaurant n Pub

  • What: Ed’s will be showing The Tragically Hip’s final show live with full sound. It is also Wing Night, and there will be drinks specials on too.

Home & Away

  • What: Much like everyone else, the staff at Home & Away will be glued to the TV for The Tragically Hip’s final show, which they will be showing with sound.

Hudsons Shawnessy

  • What: Hudsons will be playing the very last Tragically Hip concert on all TVs with sound in the main room. If you need to take a break, there’ll be the McGregor vs Diaz UFC event showing with sound in the PAC room.

The Last Straw Alehouse

  • What: The Last Straw will also be showing the whole of The Tragically Hip’s final concert. The One Aim Ride For Cancer Team will be on site taking donations and a donation will be made from the proceeds of some products.

Marquee Beer Market and Stage

  • What: Marquee is holding a free event, but tickets need to be reserved to hold your spot. Get there early to get a good seat and enjoy The Tragically Hip’s final concert.

The Metropolitan Grill

  • What: The Met promises you the party of a lifetime on Saturday, August 20. They will be broadcasting The Tragically Hip’s final concert live with concert quality sound, drink specials, and much more. Proceeds will be donated to the Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research.

National on 10th

  • What: Head to National on 10th for a free viewing party of the televised broadcast of the Tragically Hip concert from their hometown in Kingston, Ontario. Fundrasing during the event will go towards the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre “Gord Downie fund for brain cancer research”, through some great raffle draws. At National 10th, the broadcast will shown on their 20 foot screen with full sound.

National on 17th

  • What: Head to National on 10th for a free viewing party of the televised broadcast of the Tragically Hip concert from their hometown in Kingston, Ontario. Fundrasing during the event will go towards the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre “Gord Downie fund for brain cancer research”, through some great raffle draws. They will be showing the concert on the beer screens with full volume for a more intimate atmosphere.

National Music Centre

  • What: Enjoy an epic night of music at Calgary’s newest sound stage. Studio Bell will be hosting a free viewing of The Tragically Hip’s final concert in their performance hall. Registration is required as space is limited.

Along Stephen Avenue

  • What: Head down to the Stephen Avenue Celebration Site on August 20th between Centre Street and 1 Street SE and view the farwell broadcast live on a giant screen. Screening will begin at 6:30 pm

Unicorn Superpub

  • What: The Unicorn will be showing the Tragically Hip concert live with sound. Enjoy the show with your friends while getting in on their great Saturday specials. UFC 202 will also be playing in the Sports Cantina.

CBC

If you have no luck getting in anywhere around town, the CBC will also broadcast and livestream The Tragically Hip’s final concert, commercial-free, on Saturday, August 20.

The show starts at 6:30 pm MDT across CBC Television, CBC Radio One, CBC Radio 2, CBC’s YouTube channels, and cbcmusic.ca.
