WestJet has announced it is adding a new sunshine destination to its flights from Calgary.
Starting this winter, Calgarians can hop on a non-stop flight from YYC to Montego Bay, Jamaica.
The new route, which starts on November 3, is part of the airline’s seasonal schedule for winter 2018/2019.
“Flying from YYC Calgary International Airport on WestJet can now get you to the sun in Montego Bay along with 63 other non-stop destinations, more than any other airline out of Calgary,” said Tim Croyle, WestJet Interim Executive Vice-President, Commercial, in a release.
“We know that Calgarians are always eager to escape the unpredictable and long winters and we are confident that this service will be extremely popular.”
The service will start off with flights leaving once a week, and will increase to twice weekly on January 6, 2019.
Flights are already available on WestJet’s website, and are showing one-way fares from $354.
Who said anything about winter? Well, we did: our winter schedule is out now, with two exciting new non-stop routes designed to take the chill out of winter. Saskatoon to Orlando, and Calgary to Montego Bay. https://t.co/vk2cM6Ou5k pic.twitter.com/PNjh6MmVy7
