Calgary’s Halloween celebrations aren’t just about getting scared; they’re about doing good for the community as well. A swanky Halloween-themed gala, the Virtue & Vice Masquerade soiree will help raise money for the Wings of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation.
The volunteer-driven foundation is hosting a glamourous masquerade party on October 23 with the hopes of raising funds for low-income breast cancer patients in need of help with basic living expenses. In the past five years, the Wings of Hope Foundation has raised over $1 million toward their cause and continue to do much-needed and unique work for Calgary women with breast cancer.
This year’s party will be emceed by CBC’s Royal Canadian Air Farce’s Jessica Holmes and feature live music from Groove Academy. Held in the Spectrum Ballroom at the Hotel Arts, organizers are already dubbing this soiree to be Calgary’s “Most Sophisticated Halloween Party.”
Guests can expect a champagne reception, silent auction, dancing and delicious food. A unique flare, besides all the masks, will be the specially-made virtue or vice cocktails design by Hotel Arts’ mixologists.
