Take a 15-person bike ride with this epic brewery tour

Well, that’s one way to leave the car at home.

Urbal Pedal Tours, a “bike” company operating in Edmonton and Calgary, is offering a unique way of getting to and from some of the city’s most deliciously thirst-quenching breweries.

A 15-person bicycle (or quinquadecycle, if you will) is the main form of transportation for anyone partaking in the brewery tours, which will lead you to three different local watering holes around the city.

“While cruising at a leisurely 10 km/hr you’ll have time to enjoy the scenic streets, gorgeous landscapes, and vibrant urban culture,” the Urban Pedal Tours website states.

“So, whether you come as a pack or just pick up a single seat booking, you’re bound to bond over a frosty lager or creative cocktail and a bike ride unlike any other.”

The company currently offers two tours in the Calgary area, both spanning a total of two hours.

The Calgary Betline tour will take you down 17th Avenue, tasting a few adult beverages along the way, and the Calgary Manchester Brewery Tour will discover breweries like Banded Peak, Annex Ale House, and Born Colorado Brewing for a tour that is, as the website puts it, for “die-hard craft beer fans.”

If you happen to have enough friends, you can actually organize your very own private Urban Pedal tour, where you’ll get to choose between either of the two options.

Tickets to the tours cost $38 per person, and a private group ride requires a $250 deposit.

Tours run Thursdays through Sundays, though you’ll need to check their availability as a few days appear to be sold out already.
