Joe Biden is coming to Canada.

Ottawa to be specific. The U.S. Vice President (for just another few months) will be making an official visit on December 8 and 9 to meet with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

There will be an offical dinner in honour of Biden, and he is also scheduled to speak on a range of bilateral and global issues.

“I look forward to meeting with Vice President Biden and discussing the strength of our two countries’ relationship,” said Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in a press release.  “Canada has no closer friend, partner, and ally than the U.S., and our relationship with our neighbour to the south is critical to citizens on both sides of the border.”

This will almost certainly be Biden’s last visit to Ottawa while in office, as Republican president-elect Donald Trump takes the reigns on January 20.

Memes aside, you will be missed, Joe Biden.
