Rome may not have been built in a day, but you can see Calgary’s New Central Library rise up from the ground in less than 3 minutes flat.

The Calgary Municipal Land Corporation released a video on Tuesday showing a year-long timelapse of the new building going up, from the tunnel running underneath right to its interestingly shaped roof.

While the building is now standing, it will still be another 12 months before its doors are open to the public.

Let’s hope that year flies by as quickly as this one did!
