Parks n’ Play and Stay n’ Play Programs

  • What: Program to involve kids in different activities in a safe environment and to make new friends.
  • Where: Various locations
  • When: Monday, July 27 toΒ  Friday, July 30 at 10a.m. to 3:30p.m.

Historic Calgary Week

  • What: During the 25th Anniversary of the Historic Week Calgary you will find 65 different events. Events include a hunt to discover hidden history nuggets throughout the city, historical cross word puzzles, and a history book is being developed from input by 20 volunteer authors.

  • When: July 23 to August 3

Candian Trampolin Gymnastics Championships

  • What: Watch Canada’s best trampoline and tumbling athletes.
  • Where: Genesis Centre- 7555 Falconridge Boulevard Northeast, Suite 10, Calgary
  • When: Friday, July 24 to Monday, July 27
  • Cost: Adult $10, Student $5, Senior $60, and Family $25. 4 years and under are free.

Rosebud Chamber Music Festival

  • What: The 3rd RCMF showcases different world class classical music performers to the rural communities of the Canadian Badlands.
  • Where: Various locations in Rosebud

Calgary International Blues Festival

  • What: An exciting line up of events and artist are at the 11th CBMA Calgary Blues fest. This family friendly event is renowned for its blues music, hospitality and relaxed atmosphere.

  • When: July 27 to August 2, 2015

Calgary Fringe Festival

  • What: Fringes are uncensored, non-juried shows, there are roughly 26 productions creating more than 160 performances over the 9 days. There is a wide variety of shows including imrov, dance, theater, film, and more.

  • When: July 31 to August 8, 2015
  • Cost: Depends

Downtown Street Piano series

  • What: For 4 years, Downtown Calgary has commissioned outdoor street pianos to encourage people to play and listen to music. There are now two pianos, the Woodlands piano located on 3rd street and 6th Avenue SW and the new one, Wee Little piano which features a book exchange, located on 8th ave & Centre Street SW. There will be different artists performing on these pianos on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

  • When: Tuesday, July 28 at noon to 1p.m. and Thurseday, July 30 at noon to 1p.m.

Common Wealth: Talib Kwell with DJ Pump & Dfangz

  • What: Talib, a Brooklyn-based rapper, is known for having something significant to say in his music. He is a raper that is in high demand and has performed around the globe.

  • When: Friday, July 31 at 9p.m.
  • Cost: $35
