Thursday's the new Friday at Theatre Calgary's Greenroom (CONTEST)
Theatre Calgary is presenting a new event series so young professionals can enjoy Calgary’s theatre scene: the Greenroom.
On the first Thursday of every show, anyone between the ages of 21 and 45 can enjoy the production with a Greenroom discount and hang out in the Greenroom Lounge – an exclusive lounge complete with snacks and a free drink.
Although you normally need a membership to enjoy the Greenroom, this year anyone who uses the promo code GREENROOM gets to take part.
The Greenroom will host a number of performances throughout 2017:
- The Audience, January 26
- Skylight, February 21 – SOLD OUT
- A Thousand Splendid Suns, March 9
- Crazy For You, April 20
Performances start at 7:30 pm, but the Greenroom lounge opens at 6:30 so you can chill in comfort before the show.
The next Greenroom performance of the season is The Audience – an award-winning play on both sides of the pond. It centres around Queen Elizabeth II, the original Girl Boss, and her 60 years of weekly meetings with Prime Ministers.
The Greenroom lounge will be stocked with English tea sandwiches, so it will be the perfect time to indulge in your royal obsessions. Then you use the promo code GREENROOM online or over the phone, you can get $10 off any ticket – which means your night out could cost as little as $35.
