“When I die, I can come and blow on the wind chimes when I am there.”

That’s the hope of Ciara, a 10-year-old Calgary girl who has been battling brain cancer for the past year.

According to a GoFundMe page set up on Wednesday, Ciara’s seizures have only been getting worse, along with her hearing, sight, and memory. Now, her main hope is to leave something beautiful behind for her family.

The GoFundMe page is raising money in hopes of creating a memorial garden for Ciara, a wish she made so that she will have a place to visit with her family after she passes away.

The page specifies that the garden will be filled with calla lillies, as they are her favourite flower, and that she would want there to be hammocks and “definitely wind chimes” so that she will have a way to let her family know when she’s there with them.

The GoFundMe hopes to raise $25,000 for a small area of land that they can give to Ciara and her family soon enough for her to see it completed.

As of the writing of this article, the page has raised $4,400 of the total goal.

The GoFundMe page can be found here.
