You can raise money for charity by sharing nature selfies

Finally, mother nature has been gracing us with glorious sunshine (for the most part) and inspiring us to get out and explore.

Whether you’re into taking a stroll along the beach, hiking through a forest path, or kayaking across a lake, now’s the ideal time to immerse yourself in nature. The sun is rising earlier and setting later, so naturally, you’ll want to be outside for as long as you can.

Packing essentials like water, sunscreen, and nutritious Taste of Nature snack bars, will allow you to adventure for longer, and this summer, Taste of Nature wants you to reconnect with the great outdoors and capture the moments in photos when you do.

By sharing your nature selfies while you’re exploring Canada’s beautiful natural landscapes, you’ll be giving back. Every time you post a photo to Facebook and/or Instagram using the hashtag #FindYourTasteOfNature, they will donate $1 to Parks Canada* to help protect and present Canada’s natural heritage.

But that’s not all.

Taste of Nature will be popping up at special community events this summer where you can visit the brand’s interactive photo booth for free samples of their delicious organic snack bars (they’re free of artificial colours, pesticides, and preservatives), and help raise money for Parks Canada.

You’ll find Taste of Nature on the 9th Avenue strip between the Calgary Tower and 10th Street on July 6. It’s an ideal opportunity to sample one of the top three Taste of Nature flavours; Cranberry, Brazil Nut and Almond, or try the new lower-in-sugar Peanut Caramel!

Think of it as guilt-free snacking since the snack bars are made with whole fruit and nut ingredients which are certified organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, vegan, and kosher. Plus, the bars now come in 13 different flavours including the new lower-in-sugar Cocoa Mint and Coconut Cashew.

If you don’t make it to the festivals, be sure to look out for Taste of Nature’s hand-crafted Bikanoe at community events and retail locations throughout the summer. The Bikanoe is a spin on the classic Canadian icon, the red canoe, and is a bicycle/canoe hybrid that paddles in water and peddles on land. Whether you’re an outdoor enthusiast or not, you need to see this!

It’s going to be at Community Natural Foods and Planet Organic Markets from July 7 to 10. Make sure to stop by the market in your area, and don’t forget to share your Canadian nature selfies!

*To remain true to their values of supporting a healthy environment, Taste of Nature is donating $20,000 to Parks Canada regardless of hashtag results.
