If you’ve been using Starbucks’ free WiFi for a more devious task than just your innocent Amazon Prime shopping, we’ve got some news that might change up your routine.

Starbucks Canada has confirmed to Daily Hive that they have “identified a solution” to customers watching porn and explicit content in its stores.

In conjunction with Starbucks in the US, the coffee giant will be introducing a solution to prevent any inappropriate content from being viewed in 2019.

The Starbucks Canada team noted that while it rarely occurs, the use of their public WiFi for “illegal or egregious” content has never been permitted, and the company reserves the right to stop this behaviour in their stores.

This is part of a move to ensure the third-party “remains safe and welcoming to all” from the brand, who will be rolling out the new tool soon.
