Sled Island, Calgary’s annual music and arts festival, has announced part of its lineup for this summer’s event.
The first wave of artists performing at the festival, which runs from June 22 to 26 at numerous venues throughout the city, features an impressive selection of musicians including Peaches, The Sonics, Julia Holter, Duchess Says, and Radioactivity. Legendary lo-fi rockers Guided By Voices have also confirmed at stop at Sled Island, which will mark their first-ever appearance in Calgary.
Over 250 more bands, artists, comedians, and films playing at the five-day festival still have yet to be released. The announcement is slated for early March. Tickets are available online now.
Sled Island has been providing eclectic programming to Calgary every June since it first began in 2007. Held in more than 35 venues, the thoughtfully curated event attracts over 30,000 attendees.
