Calgarians are encouraged to come out and celebrate the spirit of giving this season, at the annual Santa Shuffle event, this Saturday, December 3.
The merry event helps The Salvation Army to assist families and individuals in need during the Christmas season and throughout the year.
The 2016 Santa Shuffle 5 km fun run and 1 km Elf Walk takes place at 10 am at Eau Claire Market.
The coast-to-coast event takes place in 42 cities across the country.
After the race, participants receive a free chili lunch, and there will be prizes and music.
Last year, The Salvation Army’s programs and services helped over 1.9 million people.
