Jul 28 2016, 11:27 pm

17th Avenue is about to gain a brand new food destination thanks to newcomer Royale Brasserie Française, slated to open August 8.

Replacing the now shuttered Corbeaux Bakehouse at 730 17th Avenue SW, Royale Brasserie Française is a modern, eclectic French-inspired brasserie owned and operated by the Teatro Restaurant Group, who also run Teatro, Cucina Market Bistro, Vendome Café, Carne, Ca’Pucinni, EAT, and Alforno Bakery & Café.

At 3200 square feet, the space will offer inside seating for around 90, which includes seats at a 50 foot zinc cocktail bar — a unique feature to 17th Avenue.

In terms of food, diners can expect “an elegant, modern, yet classic take on French cuisine, curated by Executive Chef, Dominique Moussu,” says Breanne Sich, Marketing Coordinator for the Teatro Restaurant Group.

In addition, the restaurant will have a fresh seafood display case that will be available for diners.

“On top of our classic bistro menu, we will offer French digestifs, an eclectic French-inspired wine menu, French beer on tap, and of course a variety of cocktails,” Sich remarks.

Although Royale Brasserie Française’s hours of operation have not been confirmed as of yet, the restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner during the week, and brunch, lunch, and dinner on the weekend.
