See 'The Princess Bride' on the big screen for this Valentine fundraiser

One of the most romantic, action-packed, and down-right quotable stories ever told will be showing in Calgary, providing the perfect date night for you and that special someone.

1987’s cult classic The Princess Bride will be playing at Calgary’s Plaza Theatre this Saturday, and all proceeds from ticket sales will go towards ARTS Senior Animal Rescue, an organization dedicated to helping senior animals in need of a home.

Being a thrilling tale of kidnapped princesses, dread pirates, six-fingered villains, and friendly giants, tickets to The Princess Bride make for the perfect Valentine’s Day gift – even if you have to wait until Saturday to use them.

The showing will take place from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, and offers a couple’s discount for anyone spending the afternoon with their beloved.

Family discounts are also available, and single adult tickets can be purchased for $11.
