Calgary's new brewery boasts a killer Texas-style BBQ menu

Prairie Dog Brewing Company is Calgary’s newest brewery, and this spot boasts more than just some killer brews from 20 rotating taps.

Located at 105D 58 Avene SE, this brewery and brewpub opened last week, and it’s got a food selection fit for royalty.

Described as “cozy and bohemian”, this 200-seat South Calgary brewpub offers views into their open concept microbrewery.

Once you learn that this spot features a big red barbecue pit from Mesquite, Texas (the biggest BBQ pit of its kind in Canada), it’s no surprise that Texas-style BBQ eats like smoked and slow-roasted meats and vegetables dominate the menu here.

Prairie Dog is located just a few blocks away from the Chinook LRT station, so you’ve got no reason not to check out this new spot.
