The skate rental shop has yet to open (it will be in business starting on Thursday, November 22), but that hasn’t stopped people from enjoying the ice.
Definitely a staple when it comes to wintertime activities here in YYC, the Olympic Plaza skating rink is open from 10 am to 9 pm, depending on the weather, and skates can be rented for $12, while the use of the ice is free to all comers.
We’ve put together a few photos to show you what a day on the ice looks like in the heart of downtown Calgary.
