5 must-try lobster dishes in Calgary

The Maritimes may be on the other side of the country from landlocked Alberta, but that doesn’t mean we still can’t enjoy one of the ocean’s tastiest gifts: Lobster. Sure, you can order it up as surf to complement your turf, or enjoy it cooked to perfection and dipped in melted butter, but you can also find lobster as a key ingredient in some fun menu items around town.

Lobster Mac & Cheese at Vintage Chophouse

Made with white truffle oil and cheddar, Vintage Chophouse’s Lobster Mac & Cheese will cost you quite a bit of cheddar ($36) so if your budget doesn’t quite allow, an excellent second option at this steakhouse is their Lobster Mashed Potatoes from the “signature sides” section of the menu, which are equally adored, and cost $18.

Lamb & Lobster Burger at Big Fish


Big Fish took a star turn on TV’s You Gotta Eat Here, and we may as well do as they tell us. On their dinner menu is a Lamb & Lobster Burger, made with with Cambozola cheese, guacamole and oven dried tomato mango salsa.
