Goodbye April, hello May!

A new month means new reasons to celebrate the little, silly, sweet things in life. Here’s a list of some of the interesting national days that May brings to the table.

May 3: National Paranormal Day

Flick the lights off, get together with friends, and talk about the paranormal activity you’ve lived to see (or feel). This is a day for people to come together and tell stories about a time in their lives where they saw or experienced an unexplainable occurrence.

May 8: National Have A Coke Day

This one is pretty straightforward. Get together with a group of friends, head out for a bite, and sip on the classic, fizzy and sweet drink, Coca-Cola.

May 9: National Sleepover Day

Pillow fights, face-masks, and falling asleep talking about crushes — that’s what sleepovers are for! May 9 is the day you can let that inner high-schooler everyone has inside, back out. Pamper yourself and your friends with some activated charcoal face-masks and a glass of wine. Last year, Instagram influencer Olivia Culpo helped kick off National Sleepover Day in New York with the cosmetic company Bare Minerals.

May 13: National Crouton Day

Crunch! National Crouton Day is a day for you to bake, make, or buy these small crunchy bites! Who doesn’t love tossing them into a salad, or sneaking a few without the greens? Show your croutons off to the rest of the world using the hashtag #NationalCroutonDay.

May 18: National Bike to Work Day (Third Friday of May)

You may have to dig through your garage for this one — National Bike to Work Day is pretty self-explanatory, just be sure to pedal your way to work and help reduce CO2 emissions — even if it’s just for one day.

May 25: National Wine Day

It’s okay to have rosé all day on May 25, so grab a glass, kick your feet up, and enjoy! Upload a picture to social media with the hashtag #NationalWineDay to show off how you spent your day.

May 31: National Speak in Sentences Day

Some may say that the rapid growth in technology may have a negative impact on how we write and speak. This is a day meant to remind us to speak and text in proper sentences. No OMG’s or LOL’s on May 31, people!
