Marda Gras Street Festival is hitting Marda Loop this Sunday, August 13.

The annual street festival is celebrating it’s 33rd year in Calgary with events and activities for the whole family.

Marda Gras is one of the longest running street festivals in Calgary that proudly supports local artisans and performers,” said Executive Director of Marda Loop Business Improvement Area, Bob van Wegen. “Each year we work to enhance programming to ensure we provide new things to see and do.”

The event features live music, dance and cultural performances, kids’ activity area, food trucks, vintage car show and the ever-popular Pet Pageant. The festival runs the length of 33rd Avenue SW from 18th Street to 22nd Street.

Parking will be available at The Military Museums located at 4520 Crowchild Trail SW, and shuttle busses will run from the museum to Garrison Corner every 15 minutes.

The first shuttle leaves the museum at 9:45am, with the last shuttle leaving Garrison Corner at 5:15 pm.
