Man faces pending murder charges after death of his brother

After a man was found dead in Calgary on Thursday morning his brother faces pending charges of second-degree murder.

Calgary police were called to a home on Rundlehorn Terrace NE around 1 am on Thursday, December 7. They were responding to a call of a man in medical distress, but once they arrived on scene they found the man dead.

It is alleged that the man’s injuries were from what began as a verbal conflict between himself and his older brother. Things allegedly escalated, ending in a physical fight that left the 29-year-old man fatally injured.

The victim’s identity cannot be released until an autopsy is completed, nor can the 34-year-old suspect’s until he is charged by a Justice of the Peace.
