Made in Calgary: Apple featuring locally-made apps for Canada 150

Jun 20 2017, 12:32 pm

In a nod to Canada’s 150th birthday celebration this year, Apple has launched a “Made in Canada” section on the iOS App Store, showcasing Canadian app and game developers.

The company has kicked off the series with a look at app and games developed in BC, particularly, Vancouver and now has come over to Calgary.

“A city where cowboy boots are as common as business suits, Calgary’s pioneer spirit has given innovative app creators fertile ground to thrive in. Craves lets us emulate the styles of our favourite celebs, while Fit + Thick has us looking–and feeling–fantastic,” reads a description on the iOS App Store’s Made in Canada feature.
And just as Hockey Canada Network spreads the love of the game across the country, these amazing apps come from all corners of the prairie provinces,” it adds.
