Now in its sixth year, the annual YYC Hot Chocolate Festival will make its sweet return to cups all over the city in February 2017.
The month-long event finds cafes, sweet shops, and restaurants around Calgary serving up special cocoa-y creations that hot chocolate lovers can enjoy and tick off their Festival must-do list.

The best part is, all the yummy goodness supports a wonderful cause. A portion of the proceeds from each drink are donated to support the clients and programs of Calgary Meals on Wheels.
Taking place for the whole month of February, the Hot Chocolate Festival once again makes for a delectable countdown to the sweetest day of the year, Valentine’s Day, when a lot of us are definitely thinking about chocolate.
While the participants and their hot chocolate concoctions have yet to be revealed, judging by Hot Chocolate Festivals of years past, Calgary is in for a treat.
To kick off the event, YYC Hot Chocolate organizers are hosting an official launch on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Calgary Farmers Market. The launch will include free hot chocolate samples, a showcase of participating businesses, and the official “inaugural sip” to formally commence the festival.
