Holi Hungama Festival of Colours event happening in Calgary this March

Feb 23 2018, 3:06 am

The East Indian Celebration of Colour, Holi Hungama, is coming back to Calgary on March 3.

The festival celebrates the victory of good over evil, as well as acting as a thanksgiving for a good harvest and the arrival of spring. For the past three years, Calgary’s own Sparq Productions has put together an event for Holi Hungama, with the fourth annual event taking place at the start of this March, 2018.

Hosted at the Magnolia Banquet Hall, attendees will receive a free glass of wine upon entry, be able to enjoy the wide variety of performances, and participate in the colour-throw DJ dance party.

Wearing white is recommended, as the dance party leaves participants covered from head to toe in a rainbow of coloured powder, all while dancing alongside other colourful celebrators.
