Tickets to the event are going for $60, which will include your eats for the evening and the starting amount of chips to play with.
Everyone will be on an even keel as there will be no buy-ins required, and games will go for a predetermined amount of time with increasing blinds.
The players with the biggest stashes of cash chips at the end of the first round of the Texas Hold’em tournament will move on to the final table showdown, where they will compete for the first, second, and third place spots, along with the accompanying prizes.
First place will take home a $100 Heritage Park gift card, second will take $50, and third $25.
There will also be a special prize for the person who arrives in the best western wear, which means that even if you have a terrible poker face you could still go home a winner.
Anyone who arrives will definitely go home with full bellies, as the dinner menu is an extensive list that includes western favourites like mesquite BBQ pulled beef brisket, grilled farmer’s sausage, kaiser buns and french rolls, gourmet mustards and jalapeño relish, and vegetarian campfire baked beans.
So we should really be asking “who’s feelin’ hungry?”
