This is definitely the road trip of a lifetime.

A Vancouver man decided to drive 10,950 kms across North America, traveling through five Canadian provinces and 18 US states over the span of a month beginning on July 22 and returning to Canada’s West Coast on August 22.

And the entire drive was recorded on camera as an hour-long timelapse video

Gordon More told Daily Hive 283,712 photos were taken, with one photo taken every two seconds on his two GoPro cameras – one for the front and another for the rear. He spent the last two months editing 1.5 TB of footage.

He reached Nova Scotia before turning back to make the trip home. Despite the nature of the journey, nothing went awry during the trip – not even a speeding ticket or breakdown while driving his Mazda 3 manual.

He offers a few tips to anyone who is thinking about doing a long road trip.

“Airbnb is a great way to meet people from each location,” said More. “If you do drive, take your time, and don’t drive too many hours straight. I also turned off cruise control to keep myself alert when driving so many miles.”
